The purpose of this project was to learn Adobe Illustrator. Giving myself a deadline and a letter per day allowed me to practice a new skill and help me to develop an illustration style. You may notice the style becomes more consistent towards the end of the alphabet.
This project was challenging because it required motivation from within. As a working designer, it’s much easier to have client deadlines than to create deadlines for the sole purpose of self-improvement. Creating just for myself was rewarding because I accomplished my goal and maintained creative perseverance, proving to myself that I do love what I do and want to continue to grow, not only for my career but for self-fulfillment.
